We have run out of stock for this item.

Ancient Egyptian Artists used papyrus to paint beautiful scenes.

The Revolutionary period of the Egyptian rule known as the Amarna Interlude introduced a new form of art and created religious upheavals led by Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti . Together, they fostered the worship of the sun god Re in the form of the cult of the sun disc Aten. They established themselves as living gods - thus only by worshipping the royal pair could people access the Aten. In this scene Akhenaten, Nefertiti, and one of their daughters (some will say that it actually one of Ramses lesser wives Kiya) offer sacrifices to the sun-disk Aten, whose rays, stretching down, end in hands bearing the ankh‚Äö the Egyptian symbol of eternal life.

This beautiful Egyptian papyrus painting colored by hand makes a great gift. Each Egyptian papyrus is handmade the same way it has been for thousands of years in ancient Egypt and comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
